Growing up in an emotionally abusive environment, my truth was altered at a very young age.  I found myself trapped in illusions, fighting to understand reality through a manipulated lens. Though my wounds are not physical, I battled internally for a sense of autonomy and clarity.  In this place I found my camera. Photography is a dance of visual communication from my mind to the lens. The images serve as preservation of my thoughts and memories.  In my work I create solace through aesthetic practices, exploring identity and sense of self in relationship to the world.  Through photography I am not a victim to my thoughts, but thriving through perceived adversities.
